Magnus Friday 22nd January

Sorry folks blogs been down!  Horrible weather here.  Windy, wet and cold.  I like the crisp weather but this damp weather makes me a bit stiff and somehow my tummy gets really muddy when we go out. Witch Face says it's because of the way I move.  She says I'm must flick my front paws up. Yada, yada, yada!  Just plug my ears and ignore her.  Miss Perfect.  We've had some really good walks though.  Pam's made a New Year's resolution to come walking more and she has. Added bonus is she thinks of nice treats to bring in her pockets.  Ewen forgets sometimes.  I do like a bit of a bite to eat when I'm out on a walk.

Mirren Friday 22nd January

It stuns me how everything comes down to food with Big Boy, although I agree that Pam is particularly inventive with treats.  Have to run a bit further and faster to burn them off.  A girl has to think about her figure.   And yes, I do comment on the fact I can arrive home damp but clean.  Big Boy gets back in and it looks as if he has lain down in a mud bath.  You'd think that being higher above the mud would make him less likely to come back muddy.  Apparently NOT!
I am assuming Witch Face applies to me and not Pam.  He'd never risk losing a bit of ham. And yes having Pam out on walks is wonderful. I like us girlies being out together.  She does a double take if it's chucking it down though.  See, we are SO alike.

Our trip to Tyninghame beach to-day.

Magnus Tuesday 12th January

We went to the beach.  We went to the beach.  I had a great time.  Pam had brought a squeaky toy.  I played for ages with Ewen it was brilliant.  I was very tired later on though.  I had to push Pam to bed.  She was watching NCIS and playing Hay Day...AGAIN. Gave her a quick paw and then shoved her along the hall to bed.  I just wanted to sleep.  Couldn't be bothered with her messing about till late on.  Perfect.  Peace.

Okay we went to Tyninghame beach.  But the tide was in!  No beach.  I was not happy and made sure Pam stayed between me and the sea.

Big Boy was quite pleased to be playing with Ewen. I couldn't butt in because I might have got a paw wet.  I was very relieved when Pam went up the sand dunes to the top, away from the waves.  We were all very tired when we got home.  The beach is great fun but I think the sea is pretty scary.  I prefer to keep my distance.

Magnus and Mirren

We've just had a pony in the house.  It was one and a half times the size of Magnus and came to get it's picture taken in the studio.  A PONY!!!!!!!!
It poo-ed.  Good for the roses and it wasn't on carpet. Phew!!

P.S.  Ewen will be posting pictures soon.............................................we hope.

And a Happy New Year to you all.  Had a quiet evening on our own,  just Mirren and I, to bring in the bells but Pam and Ewen trotted home just after so we did all our greetings and went to bed.
Yesterday was fantastic.  We put on our tweed coats and went down to see the hunt out.  The hounds were very impressed with our coats.  Actually several two leggeds asked about our tweed coats.  They are very smart.  The hounds had a bad habit of sniffing my bottom.  I just turned round and they would leave.  I'm so big, of course.  Then we went for a long walk.  Two and half hours.  It was brilliant.  I chased girlie around a lot to to remind her who's boss.  Totally exhausted when we got home.  Pam, Mirren and I just curled up together, in front of the fire, and slept for three hours.  Brilliant.

I do agree that we looked fabulous in our tweed coats.  I particularly like the bone button detail.  Pam was asked to make a coat for another dog because someone was so impressed.  She really is quite amazing, you know.  Anyway, the hounds were very disrespectful.  I had to curl my lip at a couple.  No-one is sniffing my bottom.
The walk was perfect.  All four of us.  Weather was very cold and crisp and the ground wasn't muddy. We just walked and played, and chased, and paddled and chased sticks, and chased each other.  I was very happy.  Magnus was on very good form.  He likes to think he's in charge.  And he is, but only because I tell him he is.  The snooze was good too.  All curled up together.  In fact I sneaked up on the bed last night just to get more cuddles.  Went fine until Magnus did the same!!!
