Mirren 24th February

Had Luther to stay over the weekend. He came.  He slept on every sofa.  Pam was not impressed.  I tried to tell him but he's French and stubborn.  He prefers my food to his.  I warned him but he's stubborn and being French likes good food.  Anyway, he'll not do that again.  He is very energetic when out on walks and, despite being out of practice, I managed to head butt him, full force, when he was running and send him up in the air.  Never managed to do that with Magnus but Luther just did a somersault.  Life is a joy. And I looked amazing.

Mirren 20th February 2020

I have been very well looked after.  Had a tummy upset on Friday.  Apparently, I had eaten a lot of grass and, one of my special things, which I have avoided for a long time, horse poo.  I hadn't allowed myself to indulge for a long time but gave in to a particularly ripe piece.  It had the usual after effect.  I am ashamed.  But not for long.
Just back from Roman Camp.  Haven't been since last March.    Very weird at first.  We went via Dumfries and Sweetheart Abbey.  I am sure I heard the Big Guy woofing from his favourite corner.  Had to stop and check and then, we were given our usual room, Dimity.  I gave the room a good sniffing and looked out Magnus's French doors before getting into my bed for a lie down.  They must have been a bit sad too because Ewen came and sat beside me and we cuddled up.  Magnus loved it here.
Sausages the next morning sorted that out and some lovely trots with Ewen.  It poured the whole time and Callander was flooded in bits.  I don't like getting my paws wet so my new boots helped.  We spent a lot of time just lying about dozing and reading and eating.  Great time.

Mirren 12th February

It's snowing here and blowing a gale.  I am a very lucky dog, you know.  The other day I hurt my paw and it bled.  Pam decided to buy me some boots because she's worried about some rot disease.  Anyway, now she thinks I might have one leg shorter than the other, after my cruciate operation.  I love my little boot.  It's very fashionable, black, with a gripper sole.  Quite tough looking. It's good to keep in fashion you know.  There are four boots but I think we're only trying them on the back paws.  They make it much easier for me to stand up as well.  There is a new bed too.  I don't know what she was thinking.  It's way, way too small.  Heard her say she's buying another and she'll stitch them together.  It's good to be loved.

Mirren 3rd February

We are into February already!!!??  It seems like yesterday since I was playing with the twin puppies near London.  Anyway, it's been busy here again.  All the windows are done and all that banging and drafty house is over.  Now rather toasty so they are turning the heating down otherwise I pant.  Ewen took me for a long walk yesterday while Pam was painting.  It was really windy and wet but I was warm and cosy.  Ewen put my hood up and my ears stayed nice and dry.
