I have become a silk thief. Pam got a silk pillow for Christmas and I really liked the look of it. It's very good for my hair. No static and fewer tugs. Also lovely and cool on the eyes. Very impressed with it. Still got snow but it's getting a bit hard and sore.
Staying in on my furry bed and silk pillow.

...........and so, there was me, dozing on my day bed, thinking about my night bed, when Ewen said it was time to go out for a pee. Not impressed. Even less so when I realised it had started snowing again. Hid behind Sleeperhenge until he got the message and I came back in. Wet paws for goodness sake. At bedtime???? I ask you????

Just thought I'd show you my daybed. Very camouflaged !

Goodness gracious what a change in the weather. First of all we have had a lot of snow. We couldn't get the cars out because the road was so bad. Then it was really cold and the surface of the snow was very hard. It hurt my paws. To make matters worse, the pavements had been sprayed with salt and that meant I had to get my paws washed everytime we went out. Now it's melted and I've been for my first big walks in a week. I am knackered. My best place in the whole world is in my bed. I get to stretch out on my furry and Pam and Ewen cover my back end with a fluffy blanket. It is so cosy and keeps my sore bits warm. Bliss.

It's getting a bit windy here. Nearly got blown over. At least the ice has gone. Went out in my tweeds and polo collar today. Pam says I've lost weight because my button fasten is looser. I think they need to feed me more!! They took pictures and didn't even check that my coat hadn't blown up! Sloppy.
It's Pam's sister's birthday this weekend and since she's always nice to me, Pam insisted I sent a card. Did so but thought I'd pass on some Deerhound Diva advice. Like getting family to do stuff for you. This past week Ewen has been washing my paws. Very pleasant. Pam says it's because of the salt on the pavement. Apparently the salt can burn our pads and irritate our tums if we lick our paws. Not complaining. I enjoy a pawdicure as much as the next dog.

Tuesday 5 January 2021

Happy New Year people. I was going to say, "Have a great 2021," but since we are already in total lockdown again, here in Scotland, I'll hold back on that one!! I am learning to skate. Everywhere is sheet ice just now. Pam fell the other day when we were up the golf course. It looked sore and I didn't want to say anything but she didn't do it very gracefully. I don't want to be like that. I also remember "Bambi-ing" at Claonaig and I don't want to that again. EVER. So I am being very careful.
Other than that, all is well, as long as they can still get me my chicken and my treats.
