We really are rattling through the year, aren't we? It's gone a wee bit spring like and we are 25C higher than we were a few weeks ago. It's 11C here. Pam says it's positively tropical. Things are also looking up because we think the crow gun has stopped. I've managed to go for a walk on the golf course. It's one of my favourite places. Nice and soft on my paws. We've also started having a stroll through the town. I have a coat on to save any embarrassment about my bald patch. They think it's getting better!!! Hope so. Anyway it allows the Two Legs to meet people and speak to them, miles apart, but at least they are talking to other people. The better weather means there are more people out and I have time to have a really good sniff around the lamp posts and find out what's going on in the doggie world. It's amazing what you can pick up from a good sniffing. Met a lot of new dogs too. The number of people with four legged pals seems to have jumped in the past year. Are people just realising we are really good company???? Saw my big pal Murphy too and he licked my face, he was so friendly. I try to forget I twerked him once, but it was a long time ago. Too old for that stuff now. Mainly I spend my time lying around and thinking up new ways to bend the Two Legs to my will. It's excellent fun.

I have new red boots. Very impressed since they match my good red coat.
I've been having a terrible time here because of a crow gun. I know I've mentioned it before but it really upsets me. It goes off four times in a minute, every 20 minutes or so. The other day I heard it and hot pawed it back to the car and then it went off again. I just took off. Poor Ewen and Pam had to try to catch me. I ran for about half a mile before Ewen caught me. Most of my running was through woods but then I ran onto the road. Fortunately, it was quiet and there were only two cars that went past. The only problem was that the road was icy. Poor Pam was terrified I'd get hit by a car and terrified Ewen would slip and hurt himself. Anyway, as a result we went a walk in Gordon Community Woodland to get away from the bangs. It was very quiet and very deep snow. We met a friend of ours, Alan and his dog Victor. Haven't seen them in months. Victor is a VERY friendly chap. Black Lab, 15 years old and still knows how to make a girl feel good. He ate a lot of my biscuits but so what?
On another note, mon cher ami, Luther has had puppies. Well not him personally but a lady friend. He has six boys now. Five are black and white and one is brown and white. I've never been that interested in puppies but I did like the identical puppies I met last Christmas.
We also went to see Magnus's axehead at Whooplaw wood, now the snow has gone back. One of his stones, the one with "Love" on it, has disappeared. We assume someone has taken it??? Anyway, Pam has painted a new one and also got one with a howling dog on it. We put them at the base of the axe head. It looks nice.

Life is very laid back just now. I walk, I sleep, I eat, I sleep, I walk, I sleep, I eat, I sleep, I walk, I sleep. I think you get the picture. It's snowing again and there is a crow gun going off all the time round about here. I just want to get home as soon as it goes off. It is very loud. So, They take me out, gun goes off, I drag them home. Warm, cosy, furry, snoozy, fantastic. I had to go back to the vet on Thursday. I saw my friend Colin so it was relatively easy. Unfortunately, he asked if he could take me inside to check my skin, AWAY from Pam and Ewen. I let him know I was not happy about this. I subjected him to twenty minutes of serious Mirren nagging. Dog's abuse. I think he was relieved to hand me back over and did pass comment on my vocalisation. My skin is getting better. It's either a bite or perhaps a burst sebaceous cyst. Not been near other dogs and always wear my coat just now so.............. Pam thinks it's a spider!!! I am now used to the new car. It's actually quite comfortable, I have my own windows and Pam is on tap for nibbles. Sorted.

Well here we are, back in snow. I have had a very traumatic week. Just as well that I had use of Pam's silk pillow to relax on. First of all, I have a bald patch on my back. They had to take me to the vet on Friday. I knew as soon as we went past Threepwood that we were going to the vet and I let them know I knew. I was given a severe reprimand from Pam for being rude to the vet. As soon as I saw her I turned my back. I thought I was being helpful since that was where the bald patch is. I did give the vet a really dirty look though. That was rude because she was very nice and very gentle. Her name is Sarah. I'm getting to see Colin on Friday. Yipee. Anyway, then they went and got a new car. It's not a van. I have no personal space anymore. I'm right there with them. Pam can stroke me. Oh, wait a minute, maybe she can pass me treats. Never thought of that. Things might be looking up. My back is looking MUCH better already.
