COMMON RIDING WEEK!

Morris : It's that time of the year again so there will be a lot of horses and a lot of people with sore heads. We usually try and keep out of it. I did try improving my sartorial elegance by trying to copy Ewen but I'm not sure if it worked. The jumper was nice and cosy but the hat kept falling off. Not sure if it's my look?
Mabel : I gave up with all this stuff and went back to bed for beauty sleep. The weather is just horrendous and probably won't improve until August 14th when the schools go back here.
We did have one bit of excitement though, when we went to visit Magnus and Mirren's old chum Murphy. Usually he just growls at us and hides his ball. This time he was quite chummy and even sat for a group picture. We were very warm as we had been chasing rabbits. Maybe he realised we were too knackered to play or steal his ball? Maybe now we are two he thinks we are more adult?
But then again he did do a quick swivel head to check the ball situation.

BIRTHDAYS.

Mabel and Morris : Our second birthday party got postponed. One brother, McTavish (Mac) has had to have a toe amputated, just like our Mum, Doris. Another, Bran has had a viral infection and not been well at all. He didn't eat for DAYS so we know he must have been really not well. And Pip thought Langholm was in Wales??? Anyway, it's been delayed till we have better weather. We did get to celebrate, at home, on Sunday for Pam's birthday. She had a birthday in big figures. A bit like us being 10 or something. Someone did a painting of her with us two. We look amazing in it.
On Monday we got presents for our Birthday. Morris tried to shred a few!!
But after really big runs there is nothing like taking over the Parents' Bed!

NEW ACCESSORIES!!

Mabel and Morris : Not much happening this past week. The weather has been fairly atrocious. We've had it warm and clammy, tropical rainstorm or typical Scottish weather for March, cold and wet. We have, however, got fabulous new, tartan collars from FourPawsCollars. We think we look fabulous and the collars do too.

BEACH.

Mabel : I love the beach. I can run and run and run and run. Usually in circles that get bigger but I LOVE THE BEACH.
There is nothing to trip over and the sand means you don't slip. It's just wonderful. I was so excited.
Morris : It's been a very busy week. We've had visitors and been visiting. It's been very warm and it's been very wet with thunder and lightning. The beach is a high light because I can run and jump into the water and as Mabel says, I can run in the sand without bothering about my hip. Brilliant. Played with a football up the park this morning. Think I've pulled a muscle in my sore hip. Limping a bit. Need to rest on the bed and put my paws up.

SUMMER HOLIDAYS.

Mabel : I have been feeling out-numbered. Pam has been away and I've been the only female in the house trying to keep the two males under control and behaving. It's been very trying. Pam was visiting a friend in France and saw an old pal of ours, Luther. He knew Magnus and Mirren well.
When Pam came back we went over to New Abbey again and went to Southerness. This time it was Pam that was inside the shelter!!
It's just been one thing after another since she got back. Very tiring. Hydrotherapy. I might have a wee problem with a shoulder but Katie is on it.
One thing about Pam being away was that I got full reign over her side of the bed. Lovely.
Morris : I actually did miss her but it was fun too. I like spending time with Ewen. When she got back we had really early morning walks. We also had our monthly appointment, yesterday, with Katie. After a long walk I was tired and the hydrotherpay was really hard work.
I sort of fell asleep against the tank when Katie was giving me my massage. Very embarrassing. Usually I just sit on her but this time I was just so tired.
I have to say in my defence that the massage is VERY relaxing, but this time I perhaps relaxed a tad too much. At least I didn't snore.
