PARK LIFE!

Morris : We have been on a trip. It was amazing. We went down to a place called Hitchin, near London. It was hot. Very hot. We stayed cool and slept a lot but in between times we had adventures and met new dog chums. We were living on a farm and they had hares. A LOT of hares. We'd get up in the morning and Mabel and I knew where to go. Didn't catch any but the chase was fun. They were big hares. Way, way bigger than the ones here, at home. Then, one day we went to visit St Albans. Didn't make it but I hung out the car with my goggles on.
I got loads of attention and smiles. I was very pleased. I really showed off what fabulous looking dogs we are. We also did some running about in a dog park for photos. I wasn't feeling like running about too much but I did get pictures taken. This was far more Mabel's thing.
Mabel : He is right. It was great fun. I really enjoyed meeting all the new dogs. There was Aggie, originally from Ukraine. She could be a bit bossy, She ran right round the whole park looking for the weak spots. She was like someone from the Great Escape.
Then there was Gus. A Springer Spaniel from the farm.. He's my kinda guy, long black hair, lots of energy and fast. He was a lot of fun.
Heidi came too. She's an older lady. A long haired Jack Russell. She must be about twelve. Sill could get around though. I got the impression you didn't meddle with her. She knew what she wanted and you didn't get in her way.
I had a bit of a sore shoulder but still managed to run around. Morris just lay around. Think he was too hot and yet he's the one that does all the sunbathing at home.
Another new pal, Basil couldn't come to the park. He had to go home for a haircut. Poor chap. He missed the fun.
It was really fun getting away and meeting new soouls. Morris is happy if he can see Ewen but I enjoyed talking to others. It was lovely to get home again. My bat cave was waiting and I just crawled in and went to sleep. It's lovely to get away but it's even better to come home. Must keep an eye out for that Bengal cat!!!!!

Mabel: I can only apologise for the length of time it has taken for us to top up our blog. It is entirely Pam's fault. She says she has been far too busy gardening now the better arrived has arrived. It has gone and we are now back to cold and wet. But we have had some fun while we have been off line. For a start, our cousin did amazing AI representations of us. She needed some words to describe us and a picture. I am really stunning.
We've been on trips to Musselburgh for burgers and sausage.
Then Pam bought long nosed dogs' googles. They fit us the best of all the ones we've tried. I look great.
We had them on yesterday for the first time. We got some looks but our eyes were protected. So cool.
Morris : She is quite assured about her looks. But both Pam and Ewen said my AI picture was quite special. Pam says I am utterly gorgeous.
She is correct though we have had some amazing runs out. The goggles are alright but I prefer to feel the wind. Pam says I get eye infections so I might have to try to wear them for longer runs. We went a bit of a run with them on yesterday and then we went for a magic walk. We had fields to run in, woods to play chase in, river to drink and paddle in and the best was when Ewen hid and then we had to find him. That was brilliant.
Mabel and Morris : And after all that the next best thing is a comfy snooze.
