Magnus 3rd October

Will be my birthday soon.  Wonder what I'm going to get?   Been for more great walks.  We played, up the golf course course, last night.  Squeaky toys are fun.  Madam keeps trying to take my toys off me.  Had to let her know who is boss.
I had to let the parents know who is boss too.  They were both about to sit back down on the couch.  Managed to get there first and get totally sprawled out and comfy.  It's just as well they are so patient with us and the furniture.  Pam wants me to stop wiping my mouth on the posh couch.  The weight of the cushions is just perfect.  I run my mouth between the cushions and the base.  Mouth wiped clean.  Problem solved!

Actually it'll be both our birthdays soon and Morganistmus is also this month.  I feel treats and presents coming up.  Now I know I can get into my coat I don't feel so pressurised about the weight thing.  Walks are always better when both parents come on them  It's fun with the toys too.  I was a bit stiff this morning after all that running abut last night.  Magnus can be very assertive if he's got a toy he likes.  Pam gives me awful row if I bite his ear or his legs.  Have to make sure I do it on the quiet!!

It's really wet here.  I can't be bothered going out in it.  I told Ewen, the other day, that I think it's time we got out winter rain coats on.  I'm not the biggest fan of being towelled dry.  Bitch Face Says it's still too warm for them but I think she has a reason for not wanting to put them on.  She hasn't lost any of that extra weight she put on at the start of the year.  Not that I'd say much.  I am, after all, a gentle soul.
Well, my coat will need a wee tuck.  I've lost a bit of weight on my new food.  Unlike Madam!!!!Ha ha ha!

Sadly, I have to admit, he may be right.  Not sure if I can get my winter coat on.  It used to be so smart on me too.  I look good in both my jackets but not if they are bursting at the seams!!  I think, that at my age, who is going to bother if I have a fuller figure than I used to.  I still look amazing, there's just more of me to be amazing.
Got in it! Got in it! Doesn't need adjusting.  Whoohoo!!  Happy girlie.

Magnus 18th September

Still raining but we've been for some really good walks with both the parents.  Great fun. I was even jumping!! Ewen said I'm like a thorough bread when I jump.  Very proud of myself.  Have to admit I was a bit stiff later on.  I think I creaked when I managed to stand up.  I suppose I have to remember I am eight years old.  Getting on a bit for a big guy.  Better go and lie down and have snooze before breakfast.  Actually, I had an early breakfast.  Pam had a bacon buttie at "The Spotty Dog".  She's gluten free so I get to eat them too.  It's fate you know.

I don't know? He makes such a song and dance about jumping a tree trunk.  I just fly over.  I am so much more sylph like and elegant.  Mind you, sometimes I just walk around the end of the tree trunk and it saves jumping at all.  I don't think Magnus has worked out that that is an option.  Anyway, it has been great on the longer walks.  We have picnics, as I've said before.  I get to clean my teeth too.  You need a good stick but you have to watch it's not too soft because it splinters and that could be bad.  I think I agree with him on the snooze thing though.  I'm off back to bed for a beauty sleep before breakfast.

Magnus 12th September

A quiet week apart from Her Ladyship being ill.  My goodness, what a drama queen.  Just lay around the house feeling sorry for herself.  Not eating just having "the runs" ALL the time.  I mean, I'm used to it but "Old Ironguts" never has a tummy upset.  Well, she knows how it feels now.

Mirren 12th September

I really wasn't well.  Pam and Ewen were really nice to me but I just couldn't be bothered with them fussing.  I just wanted to be left alone, I felt so awful.  I couldn't eat.  It was torture.  Every time I put something in my mouth it came out the other end.  Just stopped eating for a couple of days.  Now I'm starving.  I missed two days food.  I have to catch up.

Magnus 6th September

Weather here is just so changeable.  One minute I'm wet, then I'm too hot then I'm cold.  Been for some good walks with Pam and Ewen.   I'm also very chuffed with this "small feed on demand" they've started.  I wake at 3am and feel peckish and one of them (usually Ewen) gets up and feeds me.  It stops my tummy rumbling.  I've been sick again.  Found a new place to hide it but Pam sniffed it out.

Mirren 6th September

Why he can't just upchuck in public I just don't know.  I think he's embarrassed.  Pam has a really good nose though and can usually sniff out his hiding spots.  This time it was behind the dining room curtains!!! I really love those early morning feeds he's managed to get started.  A little nibble at and during bedtime is just fabulous.

Magnus 30th August

It's getting cooler again and I can sleep easier.  Been over at New Abbey again.  I love it down there.  I get to run through the grounds and down to the burn at the bottom of the field.  No bullocks in the field this time.  Still a lot of tourists but all quite friendly.
Bit of an incident at the weekend.  Mirren decided to lose her cool over some gunshots.  The girl really needs to calm down and ignore them.  She just wants to run home all the time.  Poor Pam got very distressed.

Mirren 30th August

Well, I can't help it.  MY hearing is still 100% so I REALLY hear those bangs.  Big Boy just ambles on as if he hasn't heard them.  Probably hasn't.  I just wanted to get home as quickly as possible.  I didn't realise this meant crossing a road so many times.  Poor Pam had to deal with me pulling her to get home on one arm, while Big Boy just wanted to sniff every blade of grass on the mile and a half home, on the other arm.  She had to put us back on the leads because I kept running homewards and she was worried about cars and lorries.  I think we tired her out.  She told Ewen her arms were considerably longer than they were.

Magnus 23rd August

I am very, very hot.  Can't stop panting at night.  It's very close.  Can't sit outside. just warm and heavy air.  Pam has put out my cool beds and I LOVE them now.  Very relaxing.  Plus they've been throwing wet tea towels over my head.  The fan is left on at night.  Tad worried though because Pam thinks I might be allergic to my food.  Not been farting and everything seems to be ok but she worries.

Mirren 23rd August

I have to admit it is very oppressive.  It rained last night so it is a wee bit better today.  I think it's our fur coats that make it worse.  Big Boy doesn't settle easy either.  I find a cool spot and meditate, stay calm and cool,  He paces about, panting, until he is t-towelled.  He looks like a dog from Lawrence of Arabia, if they'd had dogs over there.  I think that really would be hot.  Anyway, it'll soon be Christmas and everyone will be complaining about the cold----apart from Magnus and I.
