Magnus 29th July

Well, that's July just about over.  Pam had a birthday last Sunday, which meant the odd treat fell my way.  I feel I deserve them because Mirren and I bought her flowers with our paw money.  Pam really is a push-over.  I just sit and look at her and lift a paw and she gives in and gives me something.  Ewen is far stricter.  Mirren tries to give me a telling off and bites my ear but she's just jealous.  They've both been at Kelso Borders Union Agricultural Show show. We didn't go this time.  I would like to go back.  Mind you, last time we were there I did rather disgrace myself but when a chap needs to go, he needs to go.

Mirren 29th July

Weather has been a bit poor but it's nicer for us dogs if it isn't too hot.  I am amazed at him saying Pam's a push-over.  When he says he lifts a paw he actually rakes Pam with his paw and claws.  Poor woman is in pain.  She just gives him stuff to stop him pawing her.  Ladies do not like men who paw them.  He won't listen when I try to tell him.  He just sees it as the end justifies the means.  I think I might be firmer with him.  Pam loved her flowers and I don't grudge her them.  She and Ewen look after us so well and she has to put up with his pawing!!!
As to the show!!!! How could I forget.  I was MORTIFIED.  He just went to the toilet in front of hundreds of people.  Thank goodness Ewen has poo bags on him.  That saved the day and got a big cheer.  If you have dogs you need poo bags.  I don't understand those people who bag a poo and then leave the bag lying.  Put it in the bin.  It takes longer to disappear in a bag.

Magnus July 17th

Bit of a heatwave here.  I did try and lie outside but got too hot.  Pam and Ewen lie outside on these bed-like things.  I thought about trying to get up on one but thought it would probably fall over.  Oh well!  Had a visit from Murphy the other day.  Murphy is Auntie Lala's new dog.  Not sure about that.  I always thought I was her number 1 but he seems to have taken over. He's quite a big chap for such a pup.

Mirren 17th July

I have no idea why Idiot Big Boy thinks he can sunbathe.  But let's not go over that again he just never learns.  Murphy has amazingly soft black hair.  It's really not fair that he's a he and gets hair like that.  I have to be so careful with mine.  Pam says that's just the way of the world.  Men get long eyelashes and lustrous locks.

Magnus 10th July

Pam's been away but she's back now.  Totally different colour.  Looks quite tan.  Anyway, Ewen made sure we didn't miss her too much.  Lovely, early morning walks, fish for tea and I get Pam's side of the bed to sleep on!!  Well, it turned quite chilly and I had to make sure Ewen stayed cosy.  Been out for a long walk this morning.  All for of us.  It was very "close".  I got very hot and bothered.  Just as well we had water with us.  Mirren attacked me, AGAIN.  She really is getting very bossy.  Pam says I am too patient.

Mirren 10th July

I am so glad Pam is back.  I get more cuddles and brushing and Big Boy gets kicked off the bed.  That makes me happy.  Pam gave me a talking to this morning.  She said I am a bully and bullies are not nice people.  She said that bullies are usually cowards and have been bullied themselves.  I was bad because I have never been bullied and Magnus has never been anything other than nice to me.  She was not happy with me at all.  I couldn't explain it was because she was away and I felt left out of this male bond thing between Magnus and Ewen.  She's home now.  I'll be good.
