MARLA

Mabel and Morris : Really sad news. On Tuesday 8th, Our sister Marla was out for a run with our Mum Doris. They had a full tilt collision and Marla tumbled. She got up, walked home and died in Keith's arms. She was big, joyous, loved a chase and was loved and adored. Keith, our breeder had picked her on the day she was born. We have now lost two of our siblings, Pip and Marla.

FREEDOM!!!!

Mabel: I can run free!!! Not all the time but we went to Melrose the other day, which was the first time in four weeks, and I got to run and I got to attack Morris and I got to go in the water and I AM SO HAPPY. My foot may look a bit odd but it'll get hidden by hair. The most important thing is being able to run. Or I can sniff stuff out. It's my choice again and Pam or Ewen can't dictate what I do.

Morris : I am really pleased for her he says with gritted teeth. Two seconds off the lead and she has a go at me. I've been supportve of her and all she does is go, "I'M BAAAAACK." If i coould put my head on my paws I would.

GETTING BETTER.

Mabel: It's been a hard couple of weeks. I have not been allowed to run and as you all know I LOVE TO RUN. I've been allowed to trot a bit this week. My stitches have healed and I have just loved all the attention and "poor baby" and "what a brave girl" and "will she be able to run again." If you knew me you would know I'll be running again. I'll just need to watch my cornering!!! I have been treated magnificently by everyone especially Rosie at Galedin and Katie at Greenside. It's good to be loved but its better to be able to run.

Morris: I am pleased she's getting better because it really is quite boring without her. She encourages me to run and chase and play rather than staying close to Ewen. I had a couple of good runs when Murphy joined us but other than that I've been sticking close to the pack. I need to keep an eye on Ewen and on Mabel. I reckon that since she's been out of action for a few weeks her speed will be rusty. I should be able to catch her on a good run. Hopefully, we'll get to the beach soon and then I can show off. I just wish people would take their litter home. Put it in a bin!
